Virtual nets allow us to extend a specific local net by making the most of the existence of a public net, like Internet. Thus being able to add other computers to this net even if they are physically distanced. There are many applications that can allow us to do this. All of them must guarantee the authentication, integrity and confidentiality of the communications that take place in this net.

  Hamachi, also know as LogMeIn Hamachi, is a utility that allows the creation of a private virtual net taking advantage of the public net, in a completely secure way. So it allows us to create a net with our contacts and communicate in a secure way.
